HPC Supply Chain Innovation Lab Researchers at the 2019 Academy of Management Conference in Boston, MA: Four presentations and the Best Reviewer Award

HPC Supply Chain Innovation Lab Directors and Research Fellows attended the 79th Annual Meeting of Academy of Management in Boston, MA. This year, more than 10,000 management and organisation scholars contributed to the discussion on “Understanding the Inclusive Organisation”. Professor Jens Roehrich, Dr Jas Kalra, and Dr Mehrnoush Sarafan presented the Lab’s four live projects focusing on critical issues in (1) supply chain disruption management, (2) supply chain collaboration, and (3) orchestrating supply networks. The presentations were very well received and stimulated some exciting discussions. We cherished the opportunity to present some of the exciting work we are doing with our industrial partners on a global platform. The feedback from the conference will be beneficial for further development of our work.

In addition, HPC Research Fellow, Dr Jas Kalra, received the Best Reviewer Award for Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) Division at this year’s conference. A paper presented by Professor Brian Squire and Dr Mehrnoush Sarafan was also selected as a runner-up for the Best Paper Award of OSCM division.
